The Auto BLOCK type of gas spring is versatile in its applications. This is because it can be locked in any intermediate position. Think of the reclining back rest of a seat in a luxury bus. The back rest can be adjusted to the passenger’s comfort angle because of the gas spring.

This is of two types:
Rigid Auto block in Compression (RABC)Spring Auto Block (SAB)

Auto HITE gas spring can be locked in any intermediate position, but it can only be used in a vertical position.

This is the commonly used type in chairs with height adjustment. It freely rotates on it's own axis. It can be locked at any desired height for a comfortable seating position. The common strokes are 100 mm, 125 mm & 160 mm.

Product Details:

Motion dampers have an external appearance similar to that of gas springs, but the important difference is that dampers contain oil only. They can be designed to give damping in any direction, extension or compression. A common application for damping in extension is the side railing on a hospital bed.
